Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience.
• Hands on experience of CI/CD pipeline and creating/debugging stages.
• Proficient with Maven – POM concepts; write POM/Settings from scratch.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and related CD tools.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and deployment concepts.
• Familiar with scripting Groovy, Shell, Python and agile tools.

Responsibilities

• Migrate from Jenkins, RLM or manual deployment to GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DevOps issues.
• Create and debug CI/CD pipeline stages.
• Automate configurations to ensure successful integration.
• Write POM and Settings from scratch across code bases.

Immediate need for a talented DevOps Engineer, Capital Markets. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Halifax, NS(Hybrid).

Pay Range: CAD 42/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support app teams to migrate from Jenkins, RLM or manual deployment to GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any DevOps related issues
• Create and Debug CI CD pipeline stages writing various stages
• Implement any automation or configuration needed to ensure successful integration
• Write POM and Settings from scratch and working with various code bases
• Set up GitHub Actions and workflow details, execution and runners

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
• Hands on Experience of CICD pipeline
• Creating and Debugging CI CD pipeline stages
• Working with various code bases
• Complete Understanding Maven – Concept of POM, SuperPOM
• Write POM from scratch.

• Understand and execute builds for project types NPM
• Understand and execute builds for project types PyPi

• Understanding and hands on experience on:
• Docker and Containerization – Writing Dockerfiles, Docker commands
• Kubernetes Clusters and their management
• Concept of Deployment, Namespaces, PV/PVC in K8s
• Helm charts and their purpose
• Deployment using Kubernetes – Helm and Kubectl
• Hands on Experience of CICD pipeline with a complete understanding of NPM or Nugut
• Agile Tools like JIRA, ServiceNow
• Scripting Experience – Groovy, Shell, Python
