Job summary

D3 Security is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help redefine cybersecurity operations with their AI-powered SOAR platform. The role involves application deployment, improving scripts for client use, and researching new technologies.

The ideal candidate has an understanding of version control, is comfortable with scripting, and has knowledge of Windows/Linux environments. This position provides competitive compensation and growth opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Basic version control principles such as branching and merging.
  • Scripting, reading, and understanding code.

  • Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of virtual environments like VMWare, Azure, AWS.
  • Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and networking principles.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy applications to SaaS and On-Premises environment.
  • Maintain scripts used for client deployments.
  • Research new processes and technologies for deployment.
  • Assist with diagnosis and problem repair.
  • Participate in the SOC team.

Job description

DevOps Engineer

Location: Greater Vancouver area candidates only

The Opportunity:

At D3 Security, we’re redefining cybersecurity operations with the industry’s most advanced AI-powered Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platform. Our AI SOC helps global enterprises and MSSPs automate threat response, eliminate alert fatigue, and accelerate investigations through intelligent workflows.

As our company is rapidly growing, we are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals who are looking to grow with our company as we entrench ourselves in the SOAR market. We would like to provide an environment where fresh graduates or juniors can quickly learn and apply their knowledge to help us deliver our SOAR solutions. This position does not involve writing a lot of code, but there may be opportunities to script in languages like Python and PowerShell, or write YAML/JSON as the position is constantly evolving.

What You’ll Be Doing…
  • Application deployment to our SaaS (AWS/Azure) and On-Premises environment. This will occasionally require meeting with clients (through Zoom/Teams) and discussing the deployment process and performing the deployment while in a call with the client. (50%)
  • Improving/maintaining scripts used to deploy our SOAR to clients. (15%)
  • Research and adopt new processes/technologies to streamline build/development/test/deployment (Azure IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes). (15%)
  • Assist with diagnosis, performance of root cause analysis, and problem repair. (10%)
  • Participate in the SOC team (10%)
  • As the position is constantly changing, the job duties and their relative weighting may change.
