We're seeking someone to join our Equity Risk Systems (ERS) DevOps team as a DevOps Developer to drive automation, developer productivity, platform modernization, and AI-enabled engineering practices to improve engineering hygiene, modernize delivery practices, and leverage Generative AI to streamline software development and operational workflows.

This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that improve software delivery, engineering productivity, and operational efficiency with Python.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including build automation, testing, release orchestration, and deployment workflows.
• Drive software modernization initiatives by reducing technical debt, standardizing engineering practices, and improving development processes.
• Develop and maintain observability, telemetry, and engineering metrics solutions to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Implement and support containerized applications and platforms using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Build and integrate GenAI-enabled applications, automation tools, and developer workflows utilizing LLMs, MCP tools, and agentic architectures.
• Collaborate with globally distributed Agile teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality technology solutions.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3+ years developing automation, tooling, or platform solutions using Python.
• Experience designing and implementing automation solutions that improve software delivery, developer productivity, operational efficiency, or engineering governance.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including build automation, testing, release orchestration, and deployment workflows.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and modern software delivery practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging Generative AI tools such as GitHub, Copilot, agent-based workflows, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted software development to improve engineering outcomes.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.

All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec. We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office.

Knowledge of French and English is required.
