Job summary

University of British Columbia seeks a Development Officer, Digital Fundraising to administer fundraising programs, research potential gifts, develop strategies, prepare proposals, and move accounts through the donor cycle while aiming to raise substantial gifts annually.

The role partners with senior university leadership and multiple units to identify and solicit major gifts, manage donor relationships, and implement recognition and stewardship programs as part of the fundraising plan.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline with at least three years of related experience.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Willingness to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements plans for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects.
• Develops proposals and works with donors to generate gifts for priority projects.
• Ensures that donor recognition, acknowledgement and stewardship programs are in place.
• Generates donor/prospect solicitation materials and correspondence.
• Performs other related duties as required.
