Overview

There are very exciting times on the horizon for our Real Estate Developer client who builds Residential & Mixed use projects. If you are looking for a hybrid role heavily focused on the Development phase but also has scope to manage the construction stages as well then read on!

Our client, a start up Real Estate Developer, is looking to expand their team. If starting from the ground up excites you and you have come from a large company or medium sized firm; you will get the autonomy, visibility and recognition you are looking for.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee 3rd party Construction Management companies and represent the owner’s best interest.
  • Experience with permitting, approval process, providing construction cost estimating, plans review, etc.
  • Be capable of presenting progress reports and meetings to multiple stakeholders and managing trades; communicate clearly with different groups.
  • Strong technical knowledge on Building Engineering, budget control, life-cycle cost estimating, feasibility and value engineering with new development projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Development and Construction with Residential and Commercial projects.
  • Experience overseeing 3rd party Construction Management companies and representing the owner’s interests.
  • Technical education in Planning Degree, Construction Management Degree, Building Sciences, Engineering and/or Architecture would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
