Job summary

A tech solutions provider is seeking a Developer Productivity Engineer to enhance productivity through tooling. This role involves managing local Kubernetes orchestration with Tilt, supporting a containerized environment, and collaborating on incident management workflows. Duties

The Developer Productivity team owns the tooling that increases engineers' day-to-day productivity. For this specific role, you will own and support four key product areas:

  • Tilt (tilt.dev): You will manage our usage of Tilt, ensuring our local Kubernetes development orchestration runs smoothly for all engineers.

  • Vivaldi: You will support Vivaldi, our containerized development environment for Auth0 services based on Docker. This tool enables engineers to initialize a local Auth0 cluster for development purposes.

  • Incident Tooling: You will partner with the Operations team to maintain and implement our incident management ecosystem. Acting as the technical executor, you will configure core workflows in Incident.io and build custom automations using Tines based on specific requirements and features requested by Operations.

  • Engineering Operations (EngOps): You will develop and support our custom Slack bot, which is designed to streamline engineering operations and communications within the organization.

Skills
  • Experience with local Kubernetes orchestration tools (i.e., Tilt, Okteto).

  • Experience in creating, maintaining, and updating Slack Bot applications.

  • Be an expert in running services in internal production environments.

  • Experience with no-code apps such as Tines or Zapier.

  • Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.

  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.

  • Experience with Data Warehouses such as Snowflake.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

  • Experience with at least one programming language, such as Golang, Node.js, and Typescript.

  • Experience working with incident management processes tools (i.e., Incident.io, Rootly, Firehydrant).
