Job summary

AutoCanada's Acura of Hamilton is seeking a Detailer to clean and detail vehicles to dealership standards, both interior and exterior, for customer delivery. You’ll support the service team by maintaining a tidy workspace and following safety protocols while delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities include interior/exterior detailing, vacuuming, washing, applying sealant, polishing wheels, and using various hand tools. A valid Ontario driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with vehicle detailing and cleaning products is an asset.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
• Comfort with long periods of standing and physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Detail interior and exterior of customer vehicles to dealership standards.
• Vacuum, deodorize, wash and apply protectants or sealants.
• Ensure exteriors are clean and smudge-free; polish wheels and rims.
• Detail dashboards, wipe surfaces, and clean floor mats.
• Notify supervisor of parts needing repair or replacement.
• Complete quality control checklist and support the service team.
• Perform other repair duties as required.

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Your area of focus.

The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
• Apply paint sealant
• Clean and polish wheels and rims
• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
• Complete quality control checklist
• Perform other repair duties as required

What Are The Must-haves…

• This is a full time role and not suitable for part time, summer or temporary work.
• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• You must be legally authorized to work in Canada
