RCMP, BC Highway Patrol offices are located in various communities around the province. Positions involve supporting all aspects of BCHP operations. In some units you may be part of a larger team of Public Service Employees (PSEs), in some units you may be the only PSE. Tasks are varied and performed in a fast-paced, changing environment. You may be exposed to multimedia that some may find upsetting. Remote working is not available for these positions. The role is located in a law enforcement environment with regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.
Anticipatory. A qualified group of candidates may be identified and used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies in similar-level positions. The qualified pool will be valid for one year and may be extended.
Should a Civilian Member be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not change the Public Service status for the CM.
