The Designer is actively involved in enhancing existing products and acting as a liaison for internal and external business partners. As demand dictates, the Designer supports new product development. **Key Responsibilities:*** Set up individual job files.* Request or complete plot plans and review for accuracy.* Set up CAD/REVIT job files.* Apply for Architectural approvals.* Make job specific changes to working drawings as per customer requests.* Select exterior colors as required.* Liaise with sales department in regards to change orders and requests for pricing.* Liaise with construction department and or trade partners in regards to questions or concerns with drawings.* Review job specific engineering, roof and floor layouts against completed working drawings.* Distribute construction documents to Sales, Estimating, Construction and Trade Partners.* Apply for building permits.* Ensure production timelines are met.* Review new stages for compliance with existing product and city by-laws.* Complete new stage setup.* Resolve onsite construction issues as they arise. (framing, engineering, floor and roof layouts, finishing, electrical, etc.)* Complete Design Spec Changes (DSC) and AIM’s in CAD/REVIT master drawings. Issue DSC to housing group and maintain DSC electronic folders.* Produce Marketing Brochures; create CAD/REVIT files, create marketing PDF’s and review 3D renderings as required.* Produce and maintain tender drawings.* Create and distribute Master Job Lists.* Complete working drawings for new plan options and new elevations.* Participate in product development meetings. (when required)* Participate in framing walk through of new product. (Showhomes/prototypes)* Review floor and roof layouts as required.
