The Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Design Project Manager to join our Interior Design team and work closely with the Design Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple design-related projects, ensuring alignment between design intent, technical execution, and project schedules.

This role involves close collaboration with outsourced interior design firms, internal design development and construction teams, as well as external consultants, suppliers, and agencies.

The Design Project Manager will bring a strong background in interior design or architectural project management in high-rise construction, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to balance creative vision with technical and operational requirements to achieve efficient, high-quality project delivery.

As the Design Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Planning, organizing, and implementing design-related projects from concept through completion.
  • Leading and coordinating design meetings and managing communications with consultants and external agencies.
  • Reviewing Architectural, Interior Design, and MEP drawings to identify and resolve design-intent clashes.
  • Collaborating closely with outsourced Interior Design Consultants on all ID-related aspects.
  • Conducting detailed shop drawing and hardware schedule reviews.
  • Creating scope comparison charts to assist with engaging finishing contractors.
  • Conducting regular site walk-throughs to monitor progress and quality.
  • Collaborating with site teams during walk-throughs to assess construction progress and compile clear, actionable site reports.
  • Sourcing suitable finishes and materials for ongoing high-rise projects.
  • Creating and updating comprehensive interior design specification packages.
  • Coordinating with contractors and vendors for high-rise and specialty project deliverables.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of project-dependent suite upgrade programs.
  • Creating project-specific master finishes charts and obtaining vendor pricing.
  • Reviewing project colour charts for trade and construction distribution.
  • Assisting with custom suite purchaser meetings and site coordination.
  • Performing other duties as required to support overall project success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Interior-Design or Architectural Technology background in high-rise construction.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, diligence, and follow-through.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate and direct effectively.
  • Efficient in Bluebeam, CAD, Sketch-up, Microsoft Project, Excel.
  • Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and Revit preferred.
  • Travel is required within Toronto and the GTA – Valid Driver’s License Required
