What you can expect to do here:
  • Drive the technical delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects from concept through construction, ensuring seamless execution and commissioning.

  • Lead and unify multi-disciplinary teams—spanning process, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural expertise—to produce innovative, integrated designs.

  • Champion quality and accuracy in all design deliverables, including drawings, calculations, reports, and cost estimates, setting a high standard for project excellence.

  • Proactively manage schedules, technical scopes, and quality control, consistently meeting or exceeding client and internal expectations.

  • Act as the key technical liaison for clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, fostering trust and ensuring alignment from project initiation to completion.

  • Mentor and empower intermediate and junior team members, cultivating deep technical expertise and fostering professional growth within the team.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers to drive successful project outcomes, optimizing budgets, timelines, and client communications.

What you’ll bring to WSP:
  • Meeting with clients on a regular basis when required at site

  • Hold an accredited engineering degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical disciplines, providing a strong technical foundation for municipal infrastructure projects.

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) and licensed to practise in Canada

  • Bring 7–12 years of specialized experience in civil, process and/or mechanical design and successful delivery of municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.

  • Expertly navigate municipal and provincial approval processes, and apply current agency standards, guidelines, and industry best practices to every project.

  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills to solve complex engineering challenges and optimize project outcomes and take initiative in problem-solving, consistently delivering innovative, practical, and constructible solutions that exceed client expectations.

  • Deliver proven, high-impact designs for treatment systems, pumping stations, and linear infrastructure, with deep expertise in process hydraulics and unit operations.

  • Excel at cross-department collaboration, building synergy within multi-disciplinary teams to drive project success.

  • Engage directly with clients on-site as required, fostering strong relationships and ensuring project alignment with client needs.
