Flexpipe is seeking a Design and Estimation Technician to design material handling solutions and ergonomic workstations for manufacturing clients, using SketchUp and the Flexpipe system to create turnkey proposals. You will prepare documentation, material lists, quotes, and present solutions to clients, while tracking project status and updating quotes over time.

Based in Farnham, QC, this permanent, full-time role offers a fixed salary plus 10% bonus, 3 weeks vacation, medical insurance, RRSP,

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles (asset).
Excellent command of English and French (spoken/written).
Creativity and passion for finding and implementing solutions.

Founded in 2011, Flexpipe is a manufacturing company that specializes in modular material handling systems offering great flexibility of use. What does that mean? It means it’s a system of steel pipes and over thirty types of connector joints that can be used to imagine, design, and build just about anything! What’s the job?

The work mainly involves designing material handling solutions, as well as assembly stations, for clients in manufacturing plants. The technician is responsible for developing and proposing custom solutions to clients. Using SketchUp and the Flexpipe system, the technician can respond to all requests. You will work directly with end clients, offering them turnkey solutions. The technician designs, prepares documentation and material lists, writes quotes, and presents solutions to clients. They are also responsible for project evaluation and maintaining updated quotes and documentation over time.

Fondée en 2011, Flexpipe est une entreprise manufacturière de système de manutention modulaire qui détient une grande flexibilité d’utilisation. Qu’est-ce que ça veut dire? Ça veut dire que c’est un système de tubes d’acier et de plus d’une trentaine de joints connecteurs pour imaginer, conceptualiser et fabriquer à peu près n’importe quoi! Flexpipe c’est aussi un système qui se veut le Roi de l’amélioration continue. C’est un système modulaire qu’on peut démonter et remonter quasi à l’infini, comme un jeu de LEGO. Ce qu’on fabrique le plus, ce sont des chariots de manutention, des postes de travail ergonomiques, des racks de type ‘’supermarchés’’ et des convoyeurs. C’est super trippant! Le travail consiste à faire la conception, principalement de solutions de manutentions, mais aussi de postes d’assemblages, pour nos clients qui œuvrent dans des usines manufacturières. Le technicien est responsable d’élaborer et de proposer aux clients des solutions sur mesures. À l’aide de Sketchup et du système Flexpipe, il est en mesure de répondre à toutes les demandes. Il travail directement avec le client final et lui proposera une solution clef en main. Le technicien, conçoit, prépare la documentation, les listes de matériel, rédige les soumissions et propose les solutions aux clients. Le technicien est responsable de faire d’, de créer les listes de matériel, d’évaluer les projets et de rédiger les soumissions nécessaires. Il est en contact direct avec le client et lui propose la solution la plus adaptée à ses besoins. Il suit ses projets et soumissions dans le temps et fait les mises à jour nécessaires.
