Job summary

Cannon Jeffries Search Group is assisting a national manufacturer to hire an Engineering Team Lead. This role leads the design, development, and production release of Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), translating customer needs into robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, ensure compliance with ISO, ANSI, NFPA and customer requirements, and collaborate across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and sales to optimize performance and support ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of design engineering experience, with significant hands-on experience with hydraulic systems or HPUs.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional leadership experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic system design, component selection, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of HPUs, including architecture and component selection.
  • Serve as the technical SME for HPU systems, hydraulics, and related standards.
  • Review engineering drawings, BOMs, calculations, and docs.
  • Ensure designs meet specs, safety standards, codes, and guidelines.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for HPU performance.
  • Lead engineering execution for HPU projects from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales for manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, ANSI, NFPA, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, change management, and revision control.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Attend training sessions for growth.

Job description

A national company in the marketing supply chain and branded merchandise services industry is seeking a creative, curious, and data-driven Content Marketing & Marketing Automation Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for developing, deploying, and optimizing content and campaigns across websites, email, LinkedIn, video, digital advertising, sales materials, and occasional print collateral. A central challenge will be learning complex B2B products and solutions and translating them into clear, compelling, audience-specific content while managing the buyer journey from awareness to lead handoff.

About the Role

The Engineering Team Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and execution of Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) solutions while providing day-to-day technical leadership to a team of engineers and designers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), including system architecture, schematics, layouts, and component selection
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for HPU systems, hydraulics, and related standards
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, BOMs, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Ensure designs meet customer specifications, safety standards, industry codes, and internal engineering guidelines
  • Support root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions related to HPU performance, quality, or field issues
  • Lead engineering execution for HPU projects from concept through production release
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure design for manufacturability, quality, and serviceability
  • Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and project milestones
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI, NFPA, customer-specific requirements)
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, change management, and revision control
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within department processes
  • Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development
