Job summary

Bar Beauty Medical in Toronto is seeking an experienced Dermatologist to join our medical team. You will independently assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of dermatological conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans within a sophisticated medical aesthetics environment.

The ideal candidate has MD degree with Dermatology specialty, CPSO licensure, and 5+ years of hands-on clinical experience.

Qualifications

• MD degree and specialist qualification in Dermatology.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Minimum 5 years of direct clinical experience in Dermatology.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of dermatological conditions.
• Experience in medical aesthetics or cosmetic dermatology is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical judgement with the ability to determine when a patient requires additional investigation, treatment, or referral.

We are looking for a Dermatologist with a strong background inclinical dermatology, excellent diagnostic abilities, and extensive hands-on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently assessing patients, diagnosing dermatological conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing expert medical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive dermatological consultations and skin examinations.
• Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of dermatological conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's medical history, clinical presentation, and treatment goals.
• Identify conditions requiring further investigation, medical testing, specialist referral, or alternative management.
• Perform appropriate dermatological procedures within the physician's scope of practice and level of training.
• Provide medical oversight and clinical guidance regarding dermatological and aesthetic treatments when appropriate.
• Assess patients for suitability and contraindications prior to medical and aesthetic procedures.
• Recognize, evaluate, and appropriately manage potential treatment-related complications or adverse reactions.
• Educate patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, benefits, and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential medical documentation.
• Provide a high standard of patient-centred care while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with the medical and aesthetic team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
• Stay current with developments, evidence-based practices, and advancements in dermatology and medical aesthetics.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD degree and specialist qualification in Dermatology.
• Must belicensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)and eligible to practise independently in Ontario.
• Minimum5 years of direct, hands-on clinical experience in Dermatologyis required.
• Demonstrated experience independentlydiagnosing and managing a broad range of dermatological conditions.
• Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic reasoning skills.
• Excellent understanding of dermatological treatments, procedures, contraindications, risks, and potential complications.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to determine when a patient requires additional investigation, treatment, or referral.
• Experience inmedical aesthetics or cosmetic dermatologyis considered a strong asset.
• Experience with lasers, injectables, skin rejuvenation, or other aesthetic procedures is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to patient safety and exceptional care.

The ideal candidate is anexperienced Dermatologist with strong medical knowledge and proven clinical judgment, rather than someone whose experience is primarily limited to cosmetic procedures.

We are seeking a physician who is confident conducting independent consultations, making accurate clinical diagnoses, creating appropriate treatment plans, and recognizing when a patient's condition requires further medical investigation or referral.

Experience in medical aesthetics is welcome; however,strong clinical dermatology experience is essential.
