Job description

The Deployment Engineer is the Evertz product expert whose role is to ensure that their respective product or products are being developed, configured and deployed in the most optimal way possible for any given project. The Deployment Engineer will work between Principal Architects, Evertz clients, R&D engineers and project managers to understand the needs and use of their products in the client’s particular application.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Principal Architects, client and R and D teams to validate initial system design against their respective product(s).
  • Ensure product selections are current and fit for purpose for customer’s operational requirements and workflows
  • Support and provide product related detail in support of creating a project SOW and functional specification
  • Assist with system design and documentation for RFP responses as needed
  • Identify and manage product gaps by clearly stating assumptions and working with R and D to ensure the gap resolution meets the client / project needs.
  • Work with clients and internal resources to design, develop, document and execute POC / FAT as required
  • Act as a product technical authority throughout pre-commissioning and onsite commissioning.
  • Analyze and communicate product related risks back to the project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Travel as required to client sites
Qualifications
  • Education in Electronics / Electrical / Computers / Broadcasting or related field
  • Successful project implementation in a Broadcast facility environment
  • Working experience with current broadcast operational workflows
  • Experience with Broadcast IT with network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types
  • 8 + years Broadcast operational exposure
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
