Overview

This is a green job—a retail department supervisor who contributes to environmental preservation by managing staff and inventory sustainably.

Responsibilities
  • Assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  • Order merchandise
  • Establish work schedules
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers
Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a retail or supervisory role
  • Specialization: Green economy sector or related experience
