Nature's Fare Markets is seeking a Department Manager - Grocery for our White Rock location. You will lead daily operations of the Grocery department, ensure excellent customer service, manage inventory, and coach team members to deliver a positive shopping experience.

The role requires a passion for organic food, strong leadership, and at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Availability for evenings and weekends is essential; competitive wage with benefits is offered.

DEPARTMENT MANAGER - GROCERY

In our Grocery department, we are passionate about creating an environment that is welcoming and full of amazing clean, organic, sustainable eating options! Our customers depend on our teams to share information about our selections as well as their passion for great food.The Department Manager - Grocery oversees thedaily operations of the Grocery area, ensuring that it is efficiently staffed, stocked and shining.This dynamic rolewill lead the growth and development of this department in our White Rock location in order to create a second to none customer experience for our guests.

The Grocery Department Manager is responsible for the overall appearance, efficiency, and profitability of the Grocery department.

• Strong, effective leadership skills
• Excellent communication skill and customer service skills
• Minimum of 3years’ experience in a management/supervisor role
• Previous retailexperience in a fast paced, customer centric environment
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• You’re a people focused leader who is able to direct the work of others but are always able to work as part of a team and foster a positive work environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Manage the day-to-day operations and performance of the Grocery Department team, including setting direction for daily tasks, providing in the moment coaching to team members, and taking a hands‑on approach to leadership within the department to empower your team to excel
• Set the standard of customer service expected fromall Grocery team membersand actively work with the management team to meet standards of operations
• Managing inventory and writing orders to ensure adequate stock levels for department while reducing food waste
• Assist in preparation of inventory and sales budgets
• Analyze profit and loss statements and recommend improvements to meet department goals including monitoring department sales
• With support of the Store Manager, manage the human resource components of the team including hiring, performance evaluations, and coaching and performance conversations
• Ensure collaborative interaction between all team members
• Collaborate with other managers and corporate teams to provide new ideas and feedback as well as to execute brand wide initiatives
• Maintain and promote current knowledge of company policies and procedures, and hold your team members accountable to following these as they apply to their daily responsibilities
