Job summary

MLHD in Griffith, NSW is seeking a Senior Dentist to join our team and provide evidence-based clinical care, including a broad range of complex procedures. You will maintain high-quality records and contribute to quality improvement while supervising staff and supporting students.

Relocation and accommodation support are available, with salary packaging options and opportunities for professional development. A current Class C licence and willingness to travel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with diverse individuals.
• Willingness to travel for work and hold a current Class C drivers licence.
• Dental qualification eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Experience managing a broad range of advanced and complex dental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based clinical care including general and complex dental procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and use appropriate tools and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and lead quality improvement activities.
• Provide supervision and support to oral health staff and students.
• Promote oral health and educate patients for prevention.

Remuneration: $169,467.00 - $177,655.00 per annum, pro rata(+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About The Role

Our Griffith Dental Clinic is looking for a passionate and hard-working Senior Dentist to join the team!

As The Dentist, You Will Be Responsible For

• Providing evidence based clinical care to patient including general and a broad range of complex and advanced dental procedures
• Utilising clinical tools, equipment and applications to ensure that the care provided is of a high professional standard
• Maintaining accurate and appropriate clinical records
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with staff
• Provide clinical supervision and support to oral health staff and students
• Actively participate in approved oral health promotion and preventative programs and educate patients under your care to maintain good oral health

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

• A Dental qualification eligible for registration as a dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Highly advanced skills in managing difficult clinical situations and a proven record of carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex dental procedures
• Understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals
• Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances within the Health Service. Evidence of a current Class C drivers licence
