Job summary

Downtown Dental of Hamilton is seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. This replacement role focuses on delivering comprehensive hygiene services in a patient-centered, modern practice, with a commitment to clinical excellence and community care.

The ideal candidate will hold a Dental Hygiene Diploma, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory body, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required.
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate dental hygiene services for patients.
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, polishing, fluoride, sealants and whitening as prescribed.
• Educate patients on oral health and preventive techniques.
• Deliver tailored patient experiences while upholding ethical and professional behaviour.

The wage for this Dental Hygienist position is$45.00 -$54.00/hourdepending onskills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care


• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients


• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling


• Establish andretainpatient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistentlymaintainingethical and professionalbehaviour

About You:

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degreeisrequired


• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory bodyisrequired


• Valid CPR certificationisrequired
