Job summary

Thunder Bay Dental Center is seeking a dedicated dental hygienist to join our busy practice in Thunder Bay. You will conduct assessments, educate patients on oral hygiene, and assist dentists to provide preventive care on-site.

Active licensure and completion of a college/CEGEP dental hygiene program are required. The role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• College/CEGEP dental hygiene program completion.
• Active licensure from provincial/territorial governing body.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial dental assessments
• Consult with dentists on patient care
• Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene
• Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease
• Apply fluoride treatment
• Remove stains and deposits from teeth
• Take, develop and mount X-rays
