A Perio office at Yonge & Sheppard is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant.

Ideal candidate should have recent experience directly assisting a periodontist or oral surgeon.

POSITION / REQUIREMENTS

• Experienced Surgical Dental Assistant.
• Prefer candidate to have surgical experience.
• Office has a Steri person and someone that explains pre and post surgery instructions.

LOCATION

Yonge & Sheppard

HOURS

Tues Weds Thurs: 8:30-4:30

COMPENSATION

$30-$34 depending on experience and performance.

DENTAL ASSISTANT JOB OVERVIEW

• Assisting Dentist with Periodontal regenerative surgery treatments-implants crown lengthening bone grafting connective tissue grafts etc.
• Taking x-rays of patients teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients mouths clear and dry during procedures.
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models.
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference.
