Waterloo Family Dental in the Kitchener-Waterloo community is hiring a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and maintain patient comfort and workflow. IPAC standards are followed and training provided.

The wage is $30.00–$35.00 per hour, replacement position with competitive total rewards including RRSP matching, insurance savings, gym discounts and access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program.

Qualifikationen

• Experience assisting dentists and hygienists preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient comfort and workflow.
• Maintain infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene.

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

Monday: 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Thursday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Friday: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wage:

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
