Job summary

Prairie Smiles Dental Group in Yorkton, SK is seeking a registered dental assistant to join our modern, patient‑centered practice. You will support dentists, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and ensure a safe, clean environment.

We value teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development, with flexible schedule Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:00pm and Fridays 7:00am-2:00pm. Applicants must be registered/certified and have prior dental assisting experience.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
