Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our dentists in providing high-quality patient care by assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Summary of Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
  • Manage dental supply inventory and restock as needed.
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with front desk duties as necessary.
Education & Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Dental Assisting program required.
  • Current Radiology Certification (X-ray license) in California required.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Prior Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
