Auxly Cannabis Group Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain Team.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will develop and maintain a 12 to 18 months rolling forecast and generate insights for management decisions based on sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activity. You will collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Order Management, and Production to ensure forecasts are achievable, highlight risks in MRP, and continuously improve forecast

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in Consumer Packaged Goods or similar with clear demand planning experience.
  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Sage MRP experience is a strong asset; cannabis industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong financial literacy and analytical skills; proficient in MS Office and SQL preferred.
  • Power BI and dash-building experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a 12–18 month rolling forecast with actionable insights.
  • Create weekly/monthly reports to track sales vs forecast and category performance.
  • Incorporate upcoming promotions into forecasts and monitor MAPEs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Order Management, Production, and Supply Chain.
  • Identify abnormal demand patterns and propose feasible mitigations.

About the role

Based out of Auxly Toronto, we are currently looking for a Demand Planner ready to take the next step in their career and join our Supply Chain Team. Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the ideal candidate aspires to work in the growing cannabis field with an award-winning team! The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining 12 to 18 months rolling forecast and create inferences for management decision making based on sales trend, market dynamics, seasonality, sales strategic initiatives and others.

What you can expect to do

  • Play a key role in developing the key aspects of the S&OP meeting
  • Lead the development implementation and maintenance of formalized demand management and forecasting process with a 12 to 18 months rolling Forecast
  • Create weekly and monthly reports and tools to track Sales performance compared to internal Forecast and competitor sales by SKU & category
  • Incorporating upcoming Promotion volumes in forecast and creating MAPE report for Promo vs actual
  • Establish and monitor the forecast accuracy and BIAS reporting, identify gaps and work closely with the sales, R&D and internal supply chain teams to improve the KPI’s for critical items.
  • Identify abnormal demand patterns, evaluate and recommend alternatives
  • Work closely with Order management, production, supply planning, procurement and PMO to ensure Forecast is achievable and highlight any risks in MRP processes and outcomes
  • Work with cross-functional teams and provide insight to improve business decisions through data
  • Serves as the “bridge” between different levels of work and functional areas, primarily sales, new products and supply chain
Skills and Competencies
  • Overall understanding of MRP, demand forecasting and new product launch processes with their interdependency with other business processes
  • Knowledge of category management and full product life cycle management
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain as well as financial acumen
  • Develop in-depth market dynamics to better understand performance
  • Provide in-depth analysis of current sales, shipment and retail inventory performance and ensure that the short term demand plan outlook is incorporated in the long term plans
  • Knowledge and experience in sophisticated demand software’s
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities to our business and develop effective mitigation plans
  • Provide substantial recommendations to the business based on insight generated
  • Manage data models, forecast algorithms and record forecast assumptions
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 3 (three) years’ in Consumer Packaged Goods or similar industry with clear experience in demand planning roles
  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Sage MRP experience a strong asset
  • Cannabis industry experience a strong asset
  • Strong financial literacy and analytical skills
  • Good command of MS Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of database management tools and SQL is preferred
  • Power BI and experience building dashboards is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring, listening, decision-making abilities
