Our client is a well-respected warehousing and logistics company, working with food manufacturers across Canada and the US. They plan for millions of pounds of food ingredients a year and are looking to grow their team with this role.

Position Description

This is the perfect role for a professional who enjoys interacting with multiple internal teams, clients and stakeholders. It is a hands-on role that not only ensures the delivery of food products internationally, but also oversees the entire supply of food the company. Predict and forecasting the future, ensuring stable and consistent supply remains constant throughout the year.

Experience
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience within various inventory managements disciplines
  • Experience in working with offshore and domestic factories and working with Traders / Sales
  • Experience with acceptable import practices and knowledge of Canada and United States import requirements
  • Experience within the food industry would be an asset
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge and experience of inventory management principles (FIFO, Min / Max, etc.) and inventory cost management
  • Understanding of third-party warehouse inventory management and working to ensure levels of inventory
  • Takes ownership and is resourceful to resolve inventory challenges while providing proactive and accountable communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work within a Team environment while also working independent on assigned portfolio
  • Be the “inventory expert”
  • Expert level of Microsoft products (Excel is a must)
Education

University degree or related logistics / supply chain diploma considered an asset.
