Job summary

A-Gas Americas Canada in Stoney Creek, Ontario is seeking a Demand Planner to develop demand forecasts and support Sales & Operations Planning. You will ensure inventory and supply chain strategies align with customer demand and business objectives.

Collaborating with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, you will drive forecasting accuracy and help create scalable processes for long-term success in our Canadian business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in demand planning or related areas.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/MRP or planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business inputs.
• Support and participate in the S&OP process.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts with business needs.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze demand trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting demand, inventory, and supply.
• Support inventory optimization and customer service objectives.
• Create reports, dashboards, and metrics that support business decisions.
• Communicate forecast assumptions, changes, risks, and opportunities.
• Contribute to planning process improvements and standardization initiatives.

About the Role

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing demand forecasts, supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and ensuring inventory and supply chain strategies align with customer demand and business objectives. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational performance, service levels, and business growth.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, MRP, or planning systems.
• Experience supporting S&OP or Integrated Business Planning processes preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• APICS/ASCM certification is an asset.

Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 annually, A-Gas offers bonus, RRSP matching and more!
