Currently, we have an opening for a Demand Planner. In this role, you will be supporting the sales organization as the main contact for planning activities based on customers, product line and stock locations. Support in contracts performance and demand definition. Drive forecast alignment process based on statistical forecast and business insights.

What you will be doing

  • Support Sales Area in business planning based on statistical forecast and business insights.
  • Challenge given forecast from sales and offer corrections.
  • Finetune statistical forecast.
  • Maintain planning system parameters, offering Sales Area the best automatic forecast.
  • Assure proper data accuracy that is provided upstream.
  • Identify forecast deviations in demand in advance.
  • Clarify and handle deviations to the forecast.
  • Support in contracts performance and demand definition.
  • Occasionally be able to visit customers together with sales to build understanding of customer needs.
  • Support sales in phasing in and out new customers and products.
  • Define forecastable and non-forecastable items.
  • Participate in regional S&OP meetings.

What you will bring along

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Project management or Logistics considered an asset
  • Supply Chain Management experience (Inventory Control, Forecasting and Demand Planning).
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of heavy-duty mining equipment considered an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems, SAP, etc.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Superior standard of interpersonal skills, which will contribute to teamwork, is required.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
  • An in depth understanding of customer business processes.
  • Superior customer relations skills.
  • Highly developed time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of initiative, drive, and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction.
