Job description

Pacific Northwest Freight Systems

  • Salary: $24.00 to $27.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
  • Employment: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Location: Work must be completed at the physical location. No remote work.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Maintain professionalism in customer service.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Keep a record of items received and delivered.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Follow directions and read maps.
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems.
  • Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures.
