Job summary

East Penn Canada is seeking an energetic Delivery/Recovery Driver to serve customers in Edmonton and surrounding areas. This role requires a valid Class 5 driver’s licence, 2+ years in delivery, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with occasional heavier moves.

You will load/unload, document shipments, and maintain safety standards while providing top-notch customer service using mobile tech. Join the Edmonton team to support timely, accurate deliveries and pickups, contribute to recycling

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 5 drivers’ licence in good standing.
• 2+ years previous experience gained in a commercial delivery driving role.
• Prior warehouse experience is a strong asset.
• Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move items ranging in weight from 25-50lbs.
• Must be willing and able to occasionally push, pull, or move items exceeding 50lbs.
• Must possesses the ability to communicate very effectively in English (read, write, speak) with the ability to confidently provide customers with delivery and product information when requested.
• Must have strong customer service skills, with previous customer service experience an asset.
• Must be comfortable working with mobile technology systems.
• Should be able to work with minimal supervision, be self-starting, and able to identify the "next task" without direction.
• Must be able to follow processes and adhere to all safety standards (WHIMS & TDG).
• Forklift or related material handling equipment experience is a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up product at customer locations per pre-determined schedule.
• Load and unload products safely – frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Complete delivery, shipping, and warehouse documentation accurately.
• Establish positive professional relationships with contacts at customer sites.
• Oversee equipment used for loading/unloading.
• Perform pre-trip inspections on vehicle and stored equipment.
• Ensure cargo safety and security during transport.
• Assist operations with warehouse duties during peak seasons or to fill gaps (shipping/receiving, labeling batteries).
