Job summary

A local food distribution company in Vancouver is seeking a Delivery Driver Supervisor to supervise and coordinate delivery drivers. Responsibilities include training new drivers, managing delivery schedules, and addressing operational issues. The ideal candidate should have several years of experience in delivery and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, permanent position offering $36.60 per hour and 10 days paid vacation.

• Train new delivery drivers in job duties and safety procedures.
• Dispatch delivery drivers and monitor routes.
• Occasionally perform delivery driver duties if needed.
• Prepare delivery reports for management.

Qualifications

• Several years (2~3 years) of experience as a delivery driver is required.
• Previous experience at the produce wholesale company is an asset.

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the delivery drivers who operate company delivery trucks
• Establish methods to meet delivery schedules and co-ordinate work activities with purchasing department and warehouse department
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve delivery performance
• Train new delivery drivers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Dispatch delivery drivers and monitor routes to ensure schedules are met and to resolve operating problems
• Occasionally perform delivery driver\'s duties in case of absent of delivery drivers or shortage of delivery drivers during peak season
• Prepare delivery reports to management

Working Condition

• Full-time, Permanent Position
• 30 working hours per week, Wage: $36.60 per hour, 10days paid vacation or 4% of vacation fee
