Job summary

Purolator is hiring a Utility Courier in Chapleau, ON. The role supports Logistics and Delivery teams with a 40-hour work week and a shift from 11:00am to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday. Starting pay is CAD 22.18 per hour, increasing to CAD 25.12 per hour after three months.

You will pick up and deliver packages, scan items, and work with Dispatch to resolve issues on the road. Training is provided for required certifications, with a permanent position and benefits upon joining the team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with at least 3 years of experience.
• No more than four demerit points on Driver's Abstract.
• Must pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods training.
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Scan packages/mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day.
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and E-DVIR.
• Advise the unit manager when inspections fail.

Our client, Purolator, is seekinga Courier to join their team. As a Courier, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting Logistics and Delivery Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Utility Courier
Location: Chapleau, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday: 11:00am to 7:30pm (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $22.18/hour ($25.12/hour after 3 months)

What’s the Job?

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
• Scan packages/mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day
