Job summary

Island Home Hardware is seeking a delivery driver to work on site at Grand Manan, NB. You will deliver and pick up items, operate delivery vehicles, handle payments, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely service.

The role requires 7 months to under 1 year of delivery experience, a secondary school diploma or equivalent, and valid licences including Class 5/5F/G and DZ. On-site work includes physical demands and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• 7 months to less than 1 year relevant delivery/ driving experience.
• Valid licenses and certifications as listed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
• Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
• Accept payment or invoices for items delivered.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products.
• Keep a record of items received and delivered.
• Prepare, package and restock goods.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.
• Load and unload goods.
• Sort packages for delivery.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Provide customer service.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
