Job summary

A Canadian equipment rental company is seeking a driver to transport equipment safely and securely within the Greater Toronto Area. Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, maintaining electronic logbooks, and performing truck inspections. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and over 2 years of experience driving an AZ Tractor Trailer with a valid license. This role requires strong customer service skills and a focus on safety. A clean driving record is essential, and applicants should be able to lift up to 40 lbs. This is a new position with the potential for a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience driving AZ Tractor Trailer.
  • A valid A License, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, able to drive manual.
  • Clean driving abstract and CVOR.

Responsibilities

  • Loading/unloading equipment safely and securely.
  • Transporting equipment to/from job sites based on dispatch direction.
  • Performing pre/post trip inspections on trucks.

  • Loading/unloading equipment safely and securely
  • Transporting equipment safely and on time to/from job sites in GTA/Ontario based on dispatch direction
  • Maintaining driver electronic logbooks
  • Receiving and relaying information to dispatch regarding customer needs
  • Interacting with our customers at the job site in a positive, professional and
    courteous manner
  • Performing pre/post trip inspections on trucks, taking responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of your assigned truck
  • Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years experience driving AZ Tractor Trailer
  • A valid A License, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement with ability to drive manual
  • Clean driving abstract and CVOR
  • Proven customer service skills to interact with customers at the job site
  • Prior experience loading/hauling equipment
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with team members and others within
    the organization
  • Focus on driving safely and observing safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to project a professional company image
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Knowledge of computer software applications
  • Start time is 5 am
  • Proven experience driving downtown Toronto
  • Must have experience driving manual 10, 13 and/or 18 speed

This is a new position.

Pay ranges provided may be adjusted outside communicated range based on a number of reasons including geography, skill level and experience. Individuals may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Management reserves the right to determine any bonus payment.
