As our innovative business continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a Delivery Driver at our Richmond location. Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, the Delivery Driver will ensure that meat and seafood products are promptly delivered to our valued customers. If you have a proven track record for safe driving, strong communication and documentation skills, and can work under pressure with minimal supervision, we would love to hear from you!

Position: Full Time, Permanent

Wage: $22.21/hr

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (Note - subject to change)

  • Tuesday to Friday, 6:45am - 2:45pm
  • Saturday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Deliver all meat and seafood products in a safe and professional manner
  • Perform and complete pre-truck inspection forms (i.e. check tires and fluid levels)
  • Ensure the preloaded truck includes all tools for success during the route (pallet straps, hand cart, pen, clipboard, load bars and all necessary paperwork)
  • Ensure refrigerated trucks maintain the required temperatures throughout the delivery
  • Accurately document and complete proof of delivery, driver delivery log and track the temperature of the truck
  • Handle customer complaints and returns of unwanted product
  • Collect cheques upon delivery
  • Follow computer-based RoadNet from Gordon Food Services
Requirements
  • Class 5 unrestricted driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Flexibility to work on weekends
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changes in priorities
  • Experience driving a three or five-ton truck is preferred
  • Basic understanding of the cold chain process is preferred
  • Basic understanding of technology is an asset
  • Knowledge of the food industry is an asset
  • Familiarity with routes and the lower mainland is preferred
