Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team at our Chatham location
What You Will Do
  • Deliver FGI products to customers on designated routes while building strong relationships with customers
  • Load materials into the vehicle and install straps, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
  • Check all load–related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
  • Report any missing or damaged product to management and follow up
  • Pick up cores and any return merchandise and tag at the branch for vendor return
  • Assist inside warehouse between deliveries
  • Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
  • Other duties as assigned
What We Require
  • Valid drivers’ license
  • Minimum 1-2 years of courier-related driving with strong customer service experience preferred
  • 5 years of total driving experience with no major driving infractions, combined with strong knowledge of Chatham and surrounding areas — you know the traffic patterns, not just the roads
  • Demonstrated direct customer service experience while working in a similar role/position is preferred
  • Able to meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift up to 75 – 100lbs, sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal skills - confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team members
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and technology - Able to learn in-house systems
  • Previous experience with transporting dangerous goods is an asset
  • Heavy duty parts supply background and/or knowledge is an asset
