Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization to design and implement complex, scalable AWS solutions for customer modernization efforts. You will guide architecture, migration strategies and governance across the project lifecycle.

You will lead technical delivery, mentor teams, and apply GenAI-powered modernization techniques to accelerate cloud adoption, while ensuring security, resilience, and best practices across engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years architecting/operating solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience leading application architecture/modernization projects including cloud-based solutioning with AI and automation
• 5+ years of software development exp. in two or more languages (Java, C#, Python, TypeScript/JS, Node.js, Go, Ruby, Swift)
• 4+ years CI/CD experience
• Ability to obtain Canadian federal security clearance (or higher)
• Quebec: bilingual French/English is required

he Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization, to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, develop, implement and re-engineer applications to fully leverage the AWS Cloud, including GenAI-accelerated modernization techniques. You'll be a key leader in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

As a Delivery Consultant - Application Modernization, you will be proficient in leading the architecture of complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current applications, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Basic Qualifications:

• - 5+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience
• - Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• - Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
• - Experience leading application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud-based solutioning (AWS or equivalent), with AI and automation
• - Experience using agentic coding tools (Kiro, Kiro-CLI, or similar) and GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock to accelerate modernization work, including code understanding, refactoring, test generation, and documentation
• - 5+ years experience of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of: Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Go, Ruby, Swift.
• - 4+ years experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• - Ability to obtain Canadian federal security clearance, or valid Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• - Only applicable for Quebec location: fluency in French and English is required due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada.
