Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saskatoon is seeking a Deli Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain the deli area, and assist with stocking and sales. The role involves zones, stock rotation, accurate signage and pricing, and adherence to food safety standards.

You will assist with deli orders, use slicers and rotisserie equipment, and help front-end staff with price checks, ensuring a clean, organized deli display and efficient service across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department.
• Rotates stock and checking for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slicing and preparing merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and providing requested assistance.
• Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
