Job summary

Walmart Canada in Charlottetown, PEI is seeking a Meat Associate to deliver friendly service while keeping the meat department clean, stocked, and correctly signed and priced.

You will rotate stock, follow food safety and cold chain practices, assist with deli items, and adapt to a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and accuracy to ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: Keeps the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to be customer-ready. Rotates stock and removes expired items.
• Ensure all merchandise is correctly signed and priced, following procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: adhere to temperature checks, proper handling, rotation, sell-by and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and serve deli products: take orders and prepare meat, cheese, and fried chicken using slicers, rotisseries, and fryers.
• Health and Safety Compliance: follow all health, safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe environment.
• Flexibility: be open to shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
