Choices Market Ltd. in Kelowna is seeking a motivated Deli Lead Hand with proven leadership to oversee the deli department and guide a small team.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and includes duties from food preparation to customer service in a fast-paced retail deli setting. Starting wage is 19.25 CAD per hour, with full-time hours and in-person work location.

Qualifications

• Must be mature and responsible with leadership skills.
• Experience in a retail deli setting is preferred.
• Engaging and positive with a can-do attitude.
• Service-oriented and comfortable talking to customers.
• Creative and a good team player.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand all day.

Choices Markets at Kitsilano currently has an opening for an enthusiastic, food-loving Deli Lead Hand with demonstrated leadership skills!

This is a full time position . Applicants should be willing and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• directing workflow and overseeing the department;
• ordering, receiving and merchandising product effectively as directed by store management;
• serving customers promptly with a positive attitude;
• preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold foodstuffs;
• keeping the deli cases stocked;
• rotating items to ensure freshness and excellent quality;
• running a till to serve customers;
• operating various kitchen appliances and equipment in adherence to OH&S policies; and
• cleaning workspaces and retail areas as required.
