Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Calgary, AB is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our busy Trans Canada location. You will greet customers, share product knowledge, keep the department stocked and neatly presented, and ensure only the freshest items are displayed. Open availability is preferred.

You will handle customer inquiries, maintain a safe, sanitary work area, and use equipment such as knives. Retail customer service experience is a plus, with opportunities to learn, grow, and receive benefits including

• Previous retail customer service is a plus.
• Reliable, energetic and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and share product knowledge.
• Keep the deli department stocked and neatly presented.
• Ensure only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide a positive experience.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work area.
• Operate deli equipment safely, including knives.
• Assist with daily prep and restocking as needed.

You will be responsible for:

• Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
• Sharing product knowledge with customers.
• Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
• Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
• Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Using a variety of equipment, including knives.
