Responsibilities

• Zone the department to ensure shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotate stock and check for expired products.
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adhere to cold chain, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and food handling standards.
• Take orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepare hot foods and assist customers.
• Prepare deli foods using utensils; rotisserie chicken; fill side dishes for display.
• Prepare bakery merchandise by following thawing and baking guidelines for quality and presentation.
• Follow ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels procedures.

Job description

What you'll do...

1. Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
2. Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
6. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
8. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.95.
