Job summary

The Wohl Group in Ottawa is seeking a Defence & Security Specialist to drive buy and resell and commission sales of military, aerospace, and electronic products to the Federal Government and the Department of National Defence. The role will involve developing new applications, pursuing new product lines, and expanding market reach while supporting customers with technical expertise.

Occasional travel to bases across Canada and to the U.S.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent approved experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of federal procurement practices.
• Experience with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces is an asset.
• Bilingual (French/English) preferred.

Job description

Reporting to the Canadian Director of Sales, the Defence & Security Specialist is responsible for buy & resell and commission sales of all Military, Aerospace and Electronic products within the Federal Government and the Department of National Defence.

• Development of new applications and maintenance of existing applications
• Pursuing new product lines and new market areas
• Drive sales growth through effective sales strategies and market knowledge.
• Support customers through product knowledge and application expertise.
• Develop annual buy & resell and commission sales budgets.
• Prepare reports for all relevant sales visits and telephone conversations.+*–

This position is based out of our clients Ottawa office. Travel will be required to the various military bases across Canada. Additional occasional travel includes visits to principals within the United States and Overseas as well as attending trade shows and industry events

Job Requirements

Education: This position requires University Degree or Similar Approved Experience

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Service or experience with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces is an asset.
• Knowledge of federal procurement practices
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude

Salary Range: Up to $120k
