• Two year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma.
• Proof of current membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
• A minimum of six (6) months recent experience in an early learning centre or day care.
• Knowledge of Ministry of Education full-day kindergarten program.
• Ability to communicate in a sensitive, courteous manner with children, parents, staff and the public.
• Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures in a timely manner.
• Understanding of and commitment to confidentiality.
• Experience planning and implementing age-appropriate programs.
• Basic computer skills, strong organization and time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification would be an asset.
