Job summary

RTX Corporation in Oakville, Ontario is seeking an onsite Deburring Technician to join its landing gear production team. You will perform deburring, filing, polishing, and cleaning of components and support LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 1-3 years of deburring experience, ability to read micrometers, and the stamina to operate cranes and follow production orders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rework and surface finishing as needed.

Shift: Weekday Afternoon (Monday-Thursday) 4:00 pm - 2:00 am

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

What You Will Do

• Perform deburring, filing, polishing, and cleaning of landing gear components as specified.
• Support quality initiatives by performing operator self-verification (OSV).
• Operate overhead cranes to move large parts.
• Participate actively in LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Support rework & surface finishing parts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, with a minimum of 1-3 years of current deburring experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read micrometers / verniers; prior deburr experience is essential.
• The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
• We Prefer Demonstrated ability to work to exact drawing specifications (Dimensional & Finish).
• Demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions from production order cards and manufacturing process sheets.
• Demonstrated ability to use Matrix and read & interpret latest MPS/APS.
