The School of Manufacturing and Automation and the School of Transportation is looking for an energetic, positive, and detail-oriented individual to join the team supporting the Dean’s Office within these two schools. This position will provide high level executive, administrative and analytical support to the Office of the Dean to achieve goals as outlined in NAIT’s and the Schools’ strategic plans in alignment with NAIT’s Vision, Promises and Values. More specifically, this role will focus primarily on supporting the following growing areas: coordination of information flow and files to assure effective communication across two distinct schools with shared administrative and safety functions, taking a lead role in creating school communications, managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, and supporting the Dean’s office, including the Associate Deans, in program development and growth through organization of industry events across multiple campuses.
As a partner in providing strong administrative support, the scope of your work includes proactively acting on assigned projects, coordinating events, supporting / streamlining administrative processes, and maintaining important external contacts. Due to the nature of this area, the work is very dynamic and requires an administrative professional who thrives in an environment where priorities and activities frequently change. Strong communication skills are necessary and experience working in a MS Teams environment is a strong asset.
