Overview

Dayforce Implementation PayrollConsultant

On behalf of our client, Procom is looking for an Implementation (Dayforce) Payroll Consultant, to support a 1-year, remote work contract.

Responsibilities

Implementation Support

  • Assist in configuring and implementing the Dayforce Payroll module based on client requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and project managers to ensure payroll components are set up accurately.
  • Help translate client payroll processes into system configurations.

Client Requirement Gathering

  • Participate in discovery sessions to understand client payroll needs, local regulations, pay rules, earnings, deductions, and compliance requirements.
  • Document and validate requirements under the guidance of a senior consultant.

System Configuration & Testing

  • Support the setup of payroll elements like earnings, benefits, taxes, time entry rules, and workflows.
  • Assist with unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and perform data validation.

Data Migration & Validation

  • Help with the import, mapping, and validation of historical payroll data from legacy systems.
  • Assist in conducting parallel payroll runs to ensure accuracy before go-live.

Client Communication & Support

  • Provide ongoing communication to clients during the implementation cycle.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll setup, processing, and compliance.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior consultants or technical teams as needed.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations and project updates.
  • Create end-user documentation or training materials, if required.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Stay current on payroll legislation and best practices in the regions where clients operate.
  • Ensure implementations align with legal and regulatory standards.

Training & Development

  • Participate in internal training programs to deepen Dayforce Payroll knowledge.
  • Work toward becoming a certified Dayforce consultant (if not already certified).
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year Canadian Dayforce Payroll experience
  • Support and Testing background could be beneficial
  • Client-facing skills; Excellent written skills for preparing detailed test cases and other documentation.
  • Eligible for Federal Security Clearance
