Job summary

Eaton’s Milton Plant has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler on our day shift. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position interprets the manufacturing information documents in order to mechanically assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts or modify basic components, sub-assemblies and structures using hand and power tools for the site's product lines.

In this role you will read drawings, ensure BOM accuracy, verify parts, maintain Kanban, perform inspections, and

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience or six months assembly experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Must reside within 80 KM of Milton, ON.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and ensure proper torque of connectors.
  • Read and interpret drawings and ensure BOM accuracy.
  • Resolve discrepancies with supervisor.
  • Escalate drawing concerns via appropriate channel.
  • Repair and modify errors detected by test/inspection.
  • Work to CSA and UL code.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN process.
  • Apply consistency in assembly methods for units on the same order.
  • Conduct visual inspections and ensure conformance to drawings and specs.
  • Prepare units for testing and pack/ship duties.
