Job summary

Roestenberg Welding Limited in Lucan, Ontario, is seeking an Inventory Control / CNC Programmer for a day shift. You will nest raw materials, program CNC equipment, and manage structural steel inventory to minimize waste and meet project timelines.

The role requires 2–3 years of CNC programming experience in a structural steel setting and proficiency with VACAM, OmniWin, and Peddinghaus software. Candidates should be able to read shop drawings and coordinate with procurement and production teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years CNC programming in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Hands-on VACAM, OmniWin and Peddinghaus software preferred.
• Experience with Voortman, Messer plasma cutters and Peddinghaus beam lines.
• Ability to read structural steel shop drawings and blueprints.
• Solid knowledge of structural steel shapes and grades.
• Reliable transportation to Lucan facility.

Responsibilities

• CNC Programming: create nesting layouts and programs for fabrication lines.
• Software operation: process DSTV/NC files and convert detailing data to machine code.
• Inventory management: track raw material inventory and allocate to projects.
• Material procurement: coordinate with purchasing to order missing materials.
• Production optimization: minimize scrap through nesting and cutting strategies.
• Quality & verification: review drawings/data before releasing programs.
