Job summary

Szamra Group is seeking a reliable Day Porter to help keep our Cambridge facility clean, safe, and welcoming during regular business hours. This independent role fits someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.

The position requires at least 1 year of commercial cleaning experience and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Office or corporate environment experience is a plus, and applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize office areas, workstations, boardrooms, hallways, kitchens/staff rooms, and washrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas.
• Empty garbage and recycling bins and replenish soap, paper towels, tissue, and other hygiene supplies.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces following health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances and common areas.
• Follow facility safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and responsibly.
• Support additional custodial duties as assigned.
